Youth Choir

Our Youth Choir introduces children to the vital music program at Greenwood, nurturing the necessary musical, spiritual, and social development for their lifelong participation in music ministry. The choir provides musical leadership in worship periodically throughout the school year, reinforcing the congregational support of these students and fostering a bond among the choristers as brothers and sisters in their shared faith. The ensemble is open to elementary school students, and meets during the first portion of the King’s Kids fellowship time on Sundays at 5:00. Rehearsals are led by certified music educators, and include a comprehensive introduction to musical and vocal skills, bell ringing technique with our Suzuki hand chimes, and the theological role and importance of music in worship.

DURING THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC, our Youth Choir continues to meet on Sunday evenings at 5:00 for percussion activities, movement games, musical instruction and fellowship during the King’s Kids program, with occasional participation in worship with our adult Handbell Choir.
