NEW THIS FALL!  Family Focus Wednesdays, 5:30-7:00pm (or whenever you can arrive!) — This is for busy parents (and anyone who needs a midweek pick-me-up) to come and relax and hear some inspiring words.  Come as you are and bring nothing except your love for God!  We will supply a light dinner, then whisk your children off to play and/or do homework which you do a study on parenting related topics.

Saturday, October 20, 4 pm — PUMPKIN CARVING ON THE GREEN!  The 5th Annual Greenwood Church Pumpkin Carving followed by a soup, bread and sandwiches potluck.   Bring your pumpkin and carving tools; a few pumpkins will be available if you can’t bring your own.  All children must be accompanied by an adult.  Sign up in Fellowship Hall and let us know if you will bring soup, bread or sandwiches.  The March of the Pumpkins will follow dinner.  The pumpkin exhibit will be in Fellowship Hall Sunday morning October 21 and pumpkins will go home after church that day!

Sunday, October 21 there will be ONE service of worship at 10:30 am!  We will be commemorating Christian Education Sunday together as one congregational family that day, as we (a) recognize, honor and affirm the many teachers and other volunteers in our midst who so generously give of their time and talent to the Christian Education programs, (b) see/celebrate/recognize our third graders (and any older students new to our Sunday School program) who will be awarded Bibles, (c) receive new members into our church family, (d) continue to have the full Sunday School hour (9:00 am) so as not to disrupt the schedule and/or cut into class time, and (e) again seek to foster and encourage a positive intergenerational worship experience for the entire church family.

Parents’ Night Out, FIRST FRIDAY OF EACH MONTH —  Parents’, bring your children to spend a fun Friday night with us from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.  We will enjoy fellowship and have fun together!  The program is directed by DFM Virginia Jacobs who will be assisted by other adults and teens from 29 Eleven who have completed our Child Protection training.
